KENNETH "KEN" GEORGE TUBMAN

Kenneth “Ken” George Tubman, 70, of West Greenwich, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.  He was the beloved husband of Paula J. (Perkins) Tubman. They celebrated their forty-seventh wedding anniversary on August 21, 2023.

Born in Providence, RI on April 15, 1953, Ken was the beloved son of the late George A. and Dorothy M. (Holmes) Tubman.

Ken was raised in Rumford and was a graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 1971.  He later furthered his studies at Rhode Island College.

Ken was employed the past nine years as a Painter at General Dynamics Electric Boat at Quonset Point until the time of his passing.  Previously, Ken and his family operated Rumford Sunoco Service Station in East Providence for many years.

Ken was a true New England Patriots fan, loved spending time with his dog Zandra, being outdoors and especially enjoyed riding his Kawasaki motorcycle.

In addition to his beloved wife, Ken is survived by two loving daughters: Kerri B. Rathbun and her husband, Gilbert of West Greenwich and Stacy T. Pinhancos and her husband, Michael of North Providence; a sister: Judith Rivard of Foster, RI; four cherished grandchildren: Madison, Cody, Harper and Hunter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was the loving brother of the late Jeffrey Tubman.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2 PM - 5 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Road, Route 3, Coventry.  A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 10 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association at: www.heart.org.
