KENT H. DEGRAIDE

DEGRAIDE, KENT H. “Bonhomme”, 62, a skilled cabinet maker and Loyal Knight (BPOE), passed away unexpectedly at Kent Hospital on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (O’Neil) Degraide for 27 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Maurice A. and Rowena F. (White) Degraide.

Kent graduated from Coventry High School, class of 1980. He excelled in sports and was a Captain of the Oakers football team. Kent worked with his brother, Keith for 45 years at Design Fabricators Inc. in Cranston. Kent was an Esteemed Loyal Knight at the West Warwick Elks Lodge. He enjoyed projects around his home and also gardening.

He was the father of Melissa DaSilva of West Warwick and Kerri A. Ghiozzi (Eric) of Katonah, NY. Kent was the grandfather or “Pepere” of Olivia DaSilva, Allison and Vivian Ghiozzi. He was the brother of Keith M. Degraide (Robin) of Cranston, Donna J. Degraide of Sturbridge, MA, Deadra J. Bonenfant (Jeff) of Coventry and the late Darla J. Tetrault. Kent is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday evening, April 3, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm with a Memorial Service at 6:30pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St.,(Rte.117) Coventry.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated. iannottifh.com
