LAURA C. (MOON) COTNOIR

COTNOIR, LAURA C. (MOON) 92, of Greene, RI, passed comfortably at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence RI on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.  Born on December 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Wallace E. Moon Sr. and Ruth H. (Provencher) Moon. She was predeceased by her husband Norman R. Cotnoir on December 12, 2015, to whom she was married for 57 years. Laura lived a full life. She worked for over 35 yrs in retail. Even after retiring, she went on to work part time, along with watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had time for her family and grand babies. To Laura her family was first.  “MA”,“MEM”, was strong, bold and persistent.

Laura leaves behind her brother Wallace E. Moon Jr. of Gaffney, Alabama, her son John V. Lamb III (Diane) of St. James City, Florida, her daughter Donna L. Moore (Cecil) of Greene,RI, and her daughter Debra L. Jackson (Scott) of Sterling, Ct. Five grandchildren, Andrea Colwell, Jason Moore, Jonathan Moore, Scott Jackson Jr., Cody Jackson, and Shana Boyer. 9 great-grandchildren, Lacee Griffiths, Austyn Norman, Aiden Moore, Killian Moore, Derek Moore, Colton Moore, Allison Colwell, and was predeceased by Mathew Colwell, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, Rowdey, Bryan, Ruth, Rayna, Kaleigh, Carter, and Scarlytt. Laura was predeceased by her twin sister Noella Moon. Laura will be remembered for her stern demeanor which kept her family in tow. You were above and beyond. We know Dad is waiting for you along with all your beloved 4 legged creatures. Until we meet again. “Always in our hearts and never forgotten”. 

Visiting hours will be on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, with a Memorial Service for both Laura and Norman, at 12:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (95/Exit 18/Rte. 3). Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich.
