LEO A. ROY Jr.

ROY, LEO A. JR., 67, of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, July 31, 2021. He was the beloved husband of 45 years to Denise (Boisclair) Roy. 

Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Leo A. Sr. and Lois Romaine (Nutter) Roy. 

Leo worked as a Mechanical Engineer for General Dynamics Electric Boat for many years. As an avid outdoorsman, Leo enjoyed fishing, target practice, and spending time in his garden. He had a love for animals, especially his dog Ernie, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and CB radio, where he was known as his handle “Grumpy”. 

Leo was the brother of Michael Roy and Renee Smith, both of Warwick. He is also survived by several aunts, nephews, and cousins. 

Visiting hours will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (RTE 3), Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Leo’s memory to the Rhode Island SPCA (RISPCA.COM), would be appreciated.
