LEO J. TATANGELO

TATANGELO, LEO JOSEPH, 76, of Coventry, passed away at Kent Hospital, Warwick on Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Sheila (Witt) Tatangelo. 

Born in North Attleboro, MA, he was a son of the late Leo and Agnes  (Bigda) Tatangelo.

After serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, Leo worked alongside his father, as Co-Owner of the former Industrial Wire Forming Company in Johnston, Rhode Island. He later worked at various other manufacturing companies in Warwick and North Kingstown. Always being a people person, Leo loved his other career as a licensed Real Estate Agent. In his free time, Leo enjoyed fishing, golfing, and anytime spent with his family, especially his adored grandchildren. 

Besides his loving wife Sheila, Leo is survived by his loving children Tammie Ferro, Debbie Tatangelo, and David Tatangelo. Grandfather of Max Ferro, Kaitlynn Ferro, Shaelynn Tatangelo, and Olivia Tatangelo; great grandfather of Matthias Salisbury, Aurora Salisbury, and Julian James Marco. He was the brother of Mary Warchol and Geralyn Tatangelo.

Leo’s funeral will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Czenstowchowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry. Burial with Military Funeral Honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. 

Visiting hours Monday, August 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
