GRANDCHAMP (Cayton), LILLIAN J., 90, of West Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at home, with her husband of nearly 70 years, Joseph N. Grandchamp, by her side.
Born in Winterville, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Sally (Jones) Cayton.
Lillian worked as a Retail Clerk for many years at the former Maxine’s and Seena’s Department Stores. She enjoyed spending time in the garden amongst her flowers, bird watching from her swing, and was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. Above all things, Lillian cherished time spent with her family.
She was the loving mother of: Paula Foster and her husband Bob; Wayne Grandchamp and his late wife Suzanne; and Bill Grandchamp and his wife Susan. Grandmother of Bobby Foster, Kelli Foster, and the late Billy Grandchamp; 7 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visiting hour on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (RTE 117), Coventry, RI, with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM. Burial and committal prayers at RI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in Lillian’s memory to the VNA of Care New England Hospice (www.vnacarenewengland.org), would be appreciated.
