LINDA MARINI Obituary

Linda Ricker Marini passed peacefully Thursday, March 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Jonathan Marini, his fiancé, Selin Ciesielski, her sister Denice (Ricker) Leuschner, her Aunt Jane (Ricker) Wade, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Linda was born in Germany to the late Donald Ricker & the late Elise (Baeske) Ricker in 1959. Linda and her family moved back to the states in the following years. Working as a Bookkeeper, Linda settled in Coventry, Rhode Island, where she raised her son, Jonathan, and was part of many social groups including the Red Hat Society. Linda was incredibly proud of her mother’s German heritage and her father’s military service, and actively advocated for Veterans associations and programs, and made sure to attend as many German Christmas Markets as possible. After the passing of her mother, Elise (Baeske) Ricker from complications due to dementia & Alzheimer’s, and her sister, Dorothy (Ricker) Zaino due to cancer, Linda made numerous donations in her family’s name and became an advocate for research societies that are committed to finding cures for these diseases. An avid reader, Linda enjoyed nothing more than a warm summer night spent in her living room with her cat, Pandora, drinking an English tea, wrapped under a cozy blanket with a good book, preferably, the newest Stephen King or Joe Hill novel. Linda was also a diehard fan of P!nk, Wicked, The British Royal Family, and Hell’s Kitchen. Linda would tell you her crowning achievement in life was her son and being his mom. Telling all her friends of his newest adventures and accomplishments brought her immense joy, as she spent so much of her life advocating for him and doing everything in her power for him to succeed.

She will be sorely missed by all, but solace is taken in the fact that her spirit will remain in the sweet memories she meticulously crafted over years of love and service to those family and friends that surrounded her.
