VIOLETTE, LINDA A., 64, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on her favorite holiday, July 4, 2025. Linda was the longtime companion of Daniel P. Lavallee.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ronald G. and Diana (Perry) Steinkamp.
Linda was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island and was a graduate of Pilgrim High School. She was born with a natural talent for cooking and spent her entire career working as an Dietary Aide. Linda worked at many nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities throughout Rhode Island and made many friends along the way.
In her spare time, Linda loved listening to and playing music. She was a proud member of the Rhode Island Woodshedders, playing percussion instruments on Sundays with some of her favorite people. Always with Daniel by her side, Linda earned the nickname, “Bongo” for her expressive rhythms and was skilled at the tambourine. Linda was also a very patriotic person and truly loved her country. She was a lifelong animal lover.
Linda was the loving mother of Michael Violette, and his companion Courtney, of Warwick. She is also survived by her siblings, George G. Nightingale Jr. of Warwick, and Debra Pacheco-Bennett of Warwick.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117) Coventry. Burial is respectfully private. Arrangements by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
