Lois L. (Larson) Tallman, 89, of Coventry, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley R. Tallman. They were wed thirty-eight years at the time of his passing in 1996.
Born in Providence, RI on December 29, 1934, she was the beloved daughter of the late B. Harold and Esther M. (Burdick) Larson.
Lois was raised in Warwick and was a graduate of Aldrich High School, Class of 1952. She was employed for over thirteen years as a Clerk in the Board of Canvassers in the Town of Coventry and later was employed an additional ten years at the Coventry Department of Public Works until retiring.
Lois was an Advisory Board Member and a Volunteer at the Coventry Resource and Senior Center for years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and was a Communicant at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Coventry. Lois enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by two loving children: Brenda T. Starble and her husband, Ronald of Coventry and Steven B. Tallman and his wife, Maryann of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren: Joshua S. Tallman and his wife Christina Bottego, Nicole M. Tallman and her significant other, Kenny Martinez, Kenneth Gratto, Jr., Kathryn L. Starble-Kaminski and her husband, Ian Kaminski, Jacob S. Starble and Justin M. Starble; and two cherished great-granddaughters: Matilda S. Tallman and Coco S. Tallman.
Lois was the beloved sister of the late Carolyn J. Fallstrom.
At the family’s request, all Funeral Services are private. Internment will take place in West Greenwich Cemetery/Plain Meeting House Cemetery in the Spring of 2024.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, Route #117, Coventry, Rhode Island.
