LUCILLE M. LESNIAK

LESNIAK, LUCILLE M. (Lemery), 88, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was predeceased in March, 2021, by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph G.S. Lesniak. 

Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Martin) Lemery.

Lucille worked for many years at The California Artificial Flower Co. and the Congress Inn. She then spent time as a supervisor at School House Candy, where she found joy in assembling children’s gift baskets for the Easter holiday. She finally retired as a Bus Aide for the Town of Coventry. In her spare time, Lucille enjoyed tending to her garden. As an animal lover, she loved bird watching and her cats. She always looked forward to going to breakfast and adored her newest great-grandchild, Noah. 

Lucille is survived by her loving children, Paulette Lesniak, Gerard “Jerry” Lesniak, Dennis M. Lesniak, and Christine A. Velleco, her husband David, all of Coventry. Grandmother of Neil, Eric, Allison, and Ian Lesniak, and  Joseph and Angela Velleco;  great-grandmother of 7. She was the sister of the late Arthur Lemery Sr. 

A visiting hour, while observing Social Distance Guidelines, will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (RTE 117), Coventry. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul St., Coventry. Burial to follow at the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
