LUCY ANN CERBO

CERBO, LUCY, 75, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Warwick. 

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Mary (Flamand) Gibeau.

After raising her family, Lucy worked alongside her cousins, first in woodworking, and then in the jewelry industry. She finished her working career doing one of her other passions of health and fitness, working for years at Exercise Plus and the Cranston YMCA. Born with a green thumb, Lucy enjoyed caring for her various plants, and was a lifelong animal lover, always with a pet. She enjoyed watching “I Love Lucy”, cooking and sharing her family's recipes. Never short for words, Lucy’s sense of humor will be greatly missed.     

She is survived by her loving children, Nicole Cerbo and partner Heather Phipps, Gina Monti, and Peter Cerbo and wife Kylie Parente-Cerbo.  

Grandmother of Matthew Monti, Jenna Monti, Marenne Padula, and Analise Padula; great grandmother of five. Sister of Donna Meglio. Lucy is also survived by her loving companion, Paul Matteson. Lucy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
