MANUEL VIEIRA SEBASTIãO

MANUEL VIEIRA SEBASTIãO, 84, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Maria Jose Vieira.

Born in Rabo de Peixe, Acores, Manuel was a son of the late Francisco Sebastião and Maria Emilia Vieira.

Manuel was a longtime resident of Rabo de Peixe, Acores where he spent his career as a Warehouse Supervisor until his retirement in 2009. It was then, he and his beloved wife Maria immigrated to the United States, where the couple resided with their daughter, Adelia, in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Throughout his life, Manuel found solace being outdoors fishing. He also enjoyed playing card games, dominos, and watching soccer. Most importantly to Manuel, time spent with his loving family is what he cherished most. He will be missed by all who knew him.  

Besides his loving wife Maria, Manuel is survived by his children, Maria Carreiro (Joao), Lucia Vieira (Hermano), Jose Sebastião (the late Delfina), Adelia Andrade (Paulo H.), Venilde Cabral (Paulo), and Sonia Estrela (Evaldo). Manuel was the brother of Fernando Sebastião, Olivia Sebastião, and the late Antonio Sebastião, and Jose Domingos Sebastião. Manuel is also survived by his loving 12 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 7 great grandchildren, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

His funeral will be held Friday, June 19, 2026 at 8:45 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1 Sunset Ave., West Warwick. Burial with Committal Prayers to follow at St Mary’s Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
