MANUEL VARES Obituary
VARES, Manuel, 93, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. He was the husband of the late Maria Gabriela (Freitas) Vares.
Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was a son of the late Joao and Celistina (Petita) Vares.
Manuel was a self-employed mason for many years before retiring. He was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening, and made his own wine.
He is survived by a son, Carlos Vares and his wife Laura of Warwick; a daughter, Liliana DosSantos and her husband Jack of New York; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be private.
