SACCOCCIO, MARCELLO J., 85, of Smithfield Rd., North Providence, and formerly of Cranston and Coventry passed away at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Born in Providence, and raised in Cranston, he was a son of the late Marciello P. and Filomena C. (Palumbo) Saccoccio.
Marcello was a self-employed Tile and Marble Contractor for many years. He was known for being fair and honest and highly skilled at his craft. After retiring, Marcello enjoyed working and maintaining his home, taking trips to the nearby casinos, especially Foxwoods, but mostly spending time with his family.
He was the father of Robert Saccoccio (Christine) of North Attleboro, MA, Paul Saccoccio (Nancy) of North Kingstown, Carl Saccoccio (Donna) of Florida, Cheire Walker (Joseph) of Warwick, Kevin Saccoccio (Joanie) of West Warwick, and the late Christopher Saccoccio. Macello was the brother of Viola Tortolani, Margie Briggs, and the late Pat Saccoccio, Freddie Saccoccio, Mary Saccoccio, Anna Saccoccio, and Dorothy Saccoccio. Marcello is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great- nephews.
