MARGARET C. (Kane) CASTORE

CASTORE, Margaret C. (Kane), 87, of Woodland Dr., Coventry, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of RI in Coventry.  She was the wife of the late Frank Castore.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Souza) Kane.

Margaret graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Providence. She married Frank in 1951 and they began raising their family in Providence. They moved to East Greenwich in 1968, where she resided until 2015 when she entered long term care in Coventry.

She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson Nicholas; enjoyed traveling; going to the beach; playing cards; dancing; and loved her dogs. 

She is survived by her children, Robert A. Castore and his wife Tammy of Coventry and Linda A. Howard and her husband Gary of Irmo, SC and a grandson, Nicholas Castore.  She was a sister of the late William F. Kane and Catherine Seamans.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:45 am in front of the administration buildings in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter for Committal Prayers in the Chapel at 11:00 am.  Visiting hours Monday, January 6, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3), Coventry.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., #306, Providence, RI 02906 or the Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St. NE, Suite 600, Atlanta , GA 30309 would be appreciated.
