MARGARET "Peg" C. (McDONALD) LOUGHLIN

MARGARET “Peg” M. (McDONALD) LOUGHLIN, 85, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Margaret was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late William L. Loughlin. 

Born in Providence, Margaret was a daughter of the late John F. and Catherine (Cahir) McDonald.

After graduating high school, Peg went on to become a Radiologic Technologist, and was one of Ray Medical Service’s, now known as Rhode Island Medical Imaging, first employees. As a natural born caregiver, Peg’s career in the medical imaging field spanned over four decades before her retirement. Above all, Peg was a loving wife, mother, and adoring grandmother whose absence will truly be missed. 

Margaret is survived by her loving daughters, Linda M. Haley and her husband Michael of Coventry, and Christine A. Payette and her husband Michael of North Carolina. Loving grandmother of Timothy William Payette, Kelsey A. Desrosiers, and her husband Jacob also of North Carolina, and Olivia C. Payette, and her fiance Andrew Frank of Georgia.  Great grandmother of Jameson William and Kennedy Margaret Desrosiers. She was the sister of John McDonald and the late James McDonald.  

Family and friends are invited to Peg’s Committal Prayers on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Those planning to attend are asked to gather at the main entrance of the cemetery at 10:45 AM. Arrangements are by Iannotti Funeral Homes.
