MARIA LINA (da SILVA) OLIVEIRA

OLIVEIRA, MARIA LINA, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Bayview Rehabilitation at Scalabrini, North Kingstown. She was the loving wife of the late Americo de Oliveira, who predeceased Maria in 2000. 

Born in Terceira, Azores Maria was a daughter of the late José Joaquim da Silva and Francisca da Conceição Soares da Silva. 

Maria worked for some years in Housekeeping but her favorite place to be was at home raising and caring for her family. A natural born caregiver, Maria loved to cook for her family and was a lifelong lover of all animals and God’s creatures.    

Maria was the loving mother of Joana Coelho, her husband Al, Maria Papa, her husband Jim, Maria Leva, her late husband Tony, Jose Oliveira, Carlos Oliveira, his wife Margarida, and the late Lucia Romeiro and Ana Oliveira. Loving grandmother of eleven, great grandmother of ten.  

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent De Paul St., Coventry. Burial with Committal Prayers to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Warwick. Arrangements are by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
