NORTH KINGSTOWN- Mark R. Salois, 60, of North Kingstown, formerly of Coventry, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, surrounded by the family and friends that he was closest to, at South County Hospital in Wakefield. He was the dear husband to Cecelia (Elliff) Salois.
Born on October 26, 1961, in Cranston, Mark was the youngest of four children born to Beatrice E. (Lacroix) Salois and the late Gerard L. Salois. Mark grew up in Coventry and attended Coventry Public Schools.
Mark worked as a Miner for Dry Bridge Sand & Stone, where he operated and serviced the crushing plant and other heavy machinery for the breakdown of rocks and boulders.
In his spare time, Mark enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the beach where he would go digging for quahogs. He was a skilled wood carver and he also liked creating and tending to his gardens. Above all, Mark was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his wife.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mark is survived by his grandson: Mason Salois and his sister Makenna Martin; his three siblings: Steven Salois, Ann Wendling, and Jeff Salois; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Mark is predeceased by his two children: Nadine Salois and Matthew Salois.
