KAYE, MARY, 94, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Coventry on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Morenzi) Flynn.
In her retirement years Mary remained active by earning her GED and obtained her Real Estate License soon thereafter. She volunteered at the Rhode Island Blood Center and was awarded The Greeter-Refreshment Volunteer of the Year in 2009. She was also recognized for her hard work and commitment at the center in 2011-2012. She enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises to Bermuda with her family.
Mary was the loving mother of Linda Buote, her husband Peter, Valerie McGovern, her late husband Michael McGovern, Henry Laprad, his companion Ana Coelho, Claudia Flanagan, her husband James and a stepson Russell Kaye. Mary is also survived by her adored grandchildren Bonnie, Erin, Allison, Patrick, Brad, Michelle, and Amanda; great grandmother of 10, and one soon to be expected.
She was the former wife of the late Henry E Laprad and George W Kaye, Jr. and was the devoted companion of the late Arthur C Fischer.
Mass of Christian Burial and interment at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston are respectfully private.
