MARY JOSEPHINE (WHITE) ROY

ROY, MARY J. (WHITE) 98, of Coventry, passed away at the Alpine Nursing Home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband Randall J. Roy in 2011. Born in Pawtucket, RI she was a daughter of the late James E. White Jr. and Jeannette (Robert) White. 

Mary was employed in the Textile Industry for many years. She was raised in Pawtucket, RI and South Attleboro, MA., before moving to Orlando, Florida for fifteen years, and then returning to Cumberland, RI in 1998. While living in Orlando, Florida, Mary was an agent at Hertz Rental Car for several years.  

Mary enjoyed dancing, cooking, and caring for her home.

Mary was predeceased by her two daughters Jo-Ann “Joey” Doull and Jean Girard. She was the mother-in-law of Bruce R. Doull of Coventry and the late Del Girard. Mary was the grandmother of Kristopher R. Doull and his wife Casie, Brian Girard and Trisha Girard. Mary was the great-grandmother of Brianna, Caden, Skylar Doull, Zachary and Alexandria Girard. She was the sister of Arthur White, Delores Moore, and the late Helen Leach, Jan Lukaszewski, Robert White, and James E. White III.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Committal Service at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail in Exeter on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 10:00 am. Attendees may assemble by the administration buildings at the main entrance at 9:30 am. Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root in Coventry. iannottifh.com
