MARY R. (BONNEAU) SUNDERLIN

SUNDERLIN, MARY R. (BONNEAU), 75, of Greene, Rhode Island, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to Keith Bradley Sunderlin.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Earl T and Mary B. (Shevlin) Bonneau. 

Before her career as a Systems Analyst for the United States Government, Mary first served her country as a soldier in the United States Army. Mary met her future husband Keith, when their eyes first met in a small hall on a military base. That moment marked the beginning of a beautiful relationship and marriage that spanned over 55 years. 

Mary and Keith raised their family  at multiple locations while Keith served in the United States Army and Mary served the Army as a civilian. They lived in multiple places  including Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Honolulu, Hawaii, where they both spent their careers while serving. They both spent their retirement time together in their homes in Honolulu and Rhode Island commenting that they had the best of all worlds. 

Mary was the loving mother of Keith Christopher Sunderlin of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Jennifer Lee Sunderlin, of Georgia. Grandmother of Alexander, Laura, Kaitlyn Marie, Maverick, Kristopher Jakob, and  Skylar Ka’ena . Sister of Earl, Joan, Beverly, Paul,  Barbara, Peter, John, Charles, Lawrence, James, Grace Sara Alice, Edward, and Allen.She is also survived by Keith Christopher’s Wife Yvette.

Mary was well known for her infectious optimism and high spontaneous energy who sought out the best part of everyone she knew. Her sudden and untimely passing came as a shock to all who knew her and her absence will be felt by all who had the good fortune to be in her acquaintance.
