DAVIS (MAGUIRE), MARY FRANCES, 68, of Coventry, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Riverview Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
She was the loving wife of nearly 49 years to Warren E. Davis Jr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Mary (Devine) Maguire.
After completing High School, Mary worked as a Supervisor at Metropolitan Life for several years. When Mary and Warren were expecting the birth of their daughter Rachele, Mary left her position at MetLife, and took up a new job as a waitress to better suit her new life as a Mom. As Rachele grew older, Mary went back to school and became a Dental Hygienist. Mary, Warren, and Rachele, also owned and operated the Davis Martial Arts School in Warwick, RI for many years. After her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at an early age, Mary found the practice of Martial Arts, along with time spent in the studio with her family of students and friends, very beneficial for her body and mind. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband Warren, Mary is survived by her loving daughter Rachele A. Davis, and Charlie Thornton, of Cedar City, Utah.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry, RI, with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Mary’s memory to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate) would be appreciated.
