MATILDA L. LAROSE

LAROSE, MATILDA L. (LAWRENCE) 92, a lifelong resident of West Warwick, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Westview Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years William A. LaRose in 2010. The couple were married on May 29, 1954. Matilda was a daughter of the late Manuel and Rose (Correira) Lawrence.

Matilda was employed in the local mills for many years; including Royal Mills, Bradford Soap Inc., and retiring from Ostby-Barton Test Probes Inc. in Warwick. She loved to go to the nearby casinos, especially to play Bingo. She seldom missed an episode of the “Days of Our Lives” Soap Opera. Matilda and her late husband William enjoyed their residence in Bradenton, Florida for 19 years.

She was the mother of Debora A. Furlong, Cynthia M. Van Gyzen and her husband Jeffrey, and Ann Marie Marchetti and her husband Alex all of West Warwick. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother Robert Lawrence, and many nieces and nephews. Matilda was the sister of the late Manuel, Steve, T.Jack, Virgil, Eugene, Raymond, Dennis Lawrence, Helen Yates, Ida Perry and Cecelia Rodrigues.

A Visitation will be Wednesday morning, June 1, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington, St. (Rte.117) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Anthony Church. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Warwick. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Saint Anthony Church, 1 Sunset Avenue, West Warwick, RI 02893 would be appreciated.  iannottifh.com
