MATTHEW W.L. HODGEMAN

HODGEMAN, MATTHEW W.L., 67, of East Providence, Passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 9, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Tammy (Waldeck) Hodgeman. 

Born in Providence, Matthew was the beloved son of the late Herbert W. and Florence (Wunsch) Hodgeman. 

Always a hard worker, Matthew spent his career as a freelance Handyman and Interior Painter. Amongst his many interests, Matthew thoroughly enjoyed visits to the ocean, whether here at home in Rhode Island, or in Maine. With his love of the outdoors, Matthew enjoyed fishing the fresh water rivers and tributaries throughout New England. Always having a sense of humor and sweet nature, Matthew had a myriad of longtime close friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.     

Matthew was the brother of Sandra Silva, Brenda Laplante, and her husband Michael, all of Rhode Island, Herbert B. Hodgeman and his wife Maria of Orford, New Hampshire, and the late Linda Pombo, Florence (Robin) Stevenson, and Rebecca Stanley. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.   

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Chapel Greenmeadow, 266 Devils Foot Road, North Kingstown, RI.
