MATTHEW LYON HOUCK

HOUCK, MATTHEW L., 42, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was the loving husband of Kathryn (Potter) Houck. 

Born in Baltimore, Maryland.  Matthew was a son of Roger K. Houck and the late Lucinda “Cindy” (Legere) Houck and stepson of Roger’s wife Nancy J. Houck.  He has many caring aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the country. 

Matthew was the loving father of Jack Lyon and Gordon Abraham Houck. Brother of J. Morgan Houck.  Beloved son-in-law of James & Rebecca Potter.  He is also survived by his lifelong friend and “hetero-lifemate” Jason Moffat and the Banshee Mulisha. 

Matthew was a graduate of Coventry High School and the owner of Lyon Pools LLC. He was a motorsports enthusiast and also enjoyed skiing.  Matt loved being outside .  Fishing, four-wheeling, and kayaking were fond past-times.  He would often be found tinkering out back with his buddies.  He will truly be missed.    

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry.
