MAUREEN ANN (SIMAS) KROCKA

KROCKA, MAUREEN ANN (SIMAS) 68, of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly at Kent Hospital on Saturday, October 26, 2024. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis J. Krocka in 2013. Born in Warwick, RI, she was the daughter of the late Eugene T. and Jeanne D. (Soucy) Simas.

Maureen was a graduate of Coventry High School, class of 1974. She was employed at the former Scott Laboratories in West Warwick for many years. More recently, Maureen worked at the Alpine Nursing Home in Coventry before retiring. 

Maureen loved to spend time with her family. She was especially proud of her son Reverend Ryan J. Simas, Chaplain at URI and the Prout School, as well as Vocation Director for the Diocese of Providence. Maureen was the sister of Keith A. Simas and his wife Camille of Cranston and Matthew A. Simas and his wife Bonnie of West Warwick. She was the aunt of Anthony, Nicholas, Natalia, Kimberly and Kaitlyn Simas; and the great aunt of Angelo and Dante.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to her Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:00 am at Saints John & James Church, 20 Washington St., West Warwick. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich will be private. In lieu of flowers, spiritual bouquets and Mass intentions for the repose of Maureen’s soul would be greatly appreciated.
