NARCISI JR., METRO A., 79, of Providence, formerly of Cranston, a dedicated husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital on Monday, September 23, 2024.
He was the husband of the late Anna M. (Campopiano) Narcisi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Metro A. and Florence (D’Alessio) Narcisi.
Metro graduated from Cranston East High School, Class of 1963. Always motivated to provide for his family, he owned and operated the former Family Carpet Center in Warwick and the former Metro’s Catering Business. His most recent employment was as a driver for RIPTA, where he worked for over eleven years before retiring.
In his later years, Metro was a resident of Saint Elizabeth Assisted Living, where he proudly served as an ambassador for the facility. Metro loved spending time with his family above all, but had passions for music, vacationing to Florida, and cruise ship vacations.
He was the devoted father of Metro A. Narcisi III and his wife Kathryn of Georgia; Lisa A. Minicucci and her husband Robert of West Warwick; and Vincent M. Narcisi and his wife Michelle of Auburndale, Florida. Metro was the older brother of Marie Bianco of Cranston. He is also survived by eight beautiful grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry, with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 pm. Burial is respectfully private.
