MICHAEL R. COUTU

COUTU, MICHAEL R., 48, of Hope, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 11, 2022. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of Dean E. Coutu and the late MaryAnn (Coyle) Coutu. 

Michael worked for Verizon since 2005 in the fiber solution center.  He was a friend to all,  joking around and filling the room with his infectious laughter. Once you were his friend,  you were his friend for life. He was very giving,  helpful,  and always had a smile for everyone. He liked working outdoors,  making the yard look great; while inside XBox was a way to unwind.  He was an avid fan of movies,  the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics.  

Michael was the loving father of Caitlynn Dixon and John M. Coutu. Brother of Bonnie Laauwe, Jennifer Lancaster, and the late Lisa Richmond. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (RTE 117), Coventry. Burial is respectfully private.
