DEL PADRE SR., MICHAEL A. 65, of North Kingstown passed away unexpectedly at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York City, NY on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Michael and his beloved wife Christine P. (Gould) Del Padre were embarking on their 30th wedding anniversary cruise celebration. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Donald E. Del Padre and the late Patricia A. (Mulick) Blanchard.
Michael graduated from West Warwick High School, class of 1977. He was employed by Mahr, Inc. (formerly Federal Products) in Providence as an electronic gauge assembler for the past 44 years. Michael enjoyed his work, telling people what he did for a living and the friendships he made there over the years.
Michael loved to listen to classic rock on vinyl, especially the rock band Rush. He enjoyed paddling out to the beach on Sundays with his beloved Christine and kayaking local rivers with their friends. Michael was also a big University of Michigan Wolverines football fan.
He was the loving father of Michael A. Del Padre Jr. of North Kingstown. He was the brother of Mark E. Del Padre and his companion Tina Allen of Warwick, and Robert P. Blanchard Jr. and his wife Karen of Norfolk, Virginia. Michael is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great friends.
Visiting hours are Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 from 8:30 to 10:30 am, with a Funeral Service at 10:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., Coventry (I95,exit 18, Rte.3). Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich.
