MICHAEL J. NEALON

NEALON, MICHAEL J., 77, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 12, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Susan M. (Ventura) Nealon. 

Born in Limerick, Ireland, Michael was a son of the late Sean and Margaret (Elligott) Nealon.  

After graduating from Hope High School, Class of 1969, Michael went on to spend his nearly 44 year long career at Amtrol Incorporated. 

Michael was a devoted husband, father, brother, Papa, uncle and friend who was so proud of his Irish heritage. He was a true sports fan who enjoyed playing high school football in his youth and went on to play tennis and golf in his adult years all while following his favorite professional sports teams and golf pros. His passions for sailing aboard his sailboat “Innisfree” as well as golfing with his dearest friends, including his weekly ritual with his brother-in-law, Frank Ventura, brought him great joy. His love for movies and music will be remembered by all as well as the delight he brought to family and friends singing his favorite songs and playing the piano by ear. His journey now with smiles reunites him with his dear friend, Mitch Jarvis, where they can cause havoc together once again. 

Besides his wife Susan, whom he so affectionately referred to as “Honey”, Michael is survived by his loving daughter, Karen Igoe, her husband Kevin of Barrington, and was predeceased by his son Michael Sean Nealon. He was the adoring “Papa” to Hannah, Caitlin, and Kevin M. Igoe. He was the brother of William Nealon, John Nealon (Kathy), Marie Gallogly (Jack), and Deirdre Trabucco. He also leaves behind many relatives and individuals who were especially dear to him including his former wife and friend, Rose M. Nealon, his aunt Dolores Carlomagno, his many nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins and relations back in Ireland. Michael was loved by all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 1 Sunset Ave., West Warwick.
