REGO, MICHAEL H., 75, of Greene, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Michael was the loving husband of Debra (Peltier) Rego for 51 years.
Born in West Warwick, Michael was a son of the late Herman W. and Mary V. (Salema) Rego.
After graduating from West Warwick High School, Michael was drafted into the United States Army. After his Honorable Discharge, Michael worked for many years as a Master Plumber and Pipefitter for Colonial Plumbing & Heating. He then established D & M Plumbing and Heating with his wife, a business they ran for several years. Michael was also the Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector for the Town of Coventry, before his retirement. In his spare time, Michael loved the sport of golf. He was a member of Foster Country Club and the former Woodland Greens Country Club, North Kingstown.
Besides his beloved wife Debra, Michael is survived by his daughters, Kimberly and Sheri Rego. Michael was the brother of Herman Rego Jr., and the late Ruth Lopes and Robert Rego. Michael was the loving uncle of Lisa Santilli, Robert Lopes, Michael Lopes, Christopher Cummings, Robert Cummings, Jason Cyr, Jonathan Cyr, David Petrarca, Stephen Petrarca, Michael Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Nicholas Peltier, Andrew Peltier, Shanon Nunnelley, Melissa Nunnelley, and the late Christopher Johnson. He cherished his numerous cats throughout the years.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday morning, March 9, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (ROUTE 3), Coventry. Burial with Military Funeral Honors to follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
