MICHAEL M. SMEALS

SMEALS, MICHAEL M., 93, of Factory Street, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the loving husband of 73 years to Josephine (Osowski) Smeals. A lifelong resident of West Warwick, Michael was a son of the late Emanuel and Christina (Manish) Smeals. 

Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served valiantly in World War II. A fixture of West Warwick, he enjoyed long walks around his neighborhood, and spending time with comrades at the American Legion Post II. 

Michael is survived by his children; Robert Smeals Sr. (Fran), Jo-Ann Riessen (Tom), daughter-in-law, Terry Smeals, and the late Gordon Smeals. Grandfather of Tracey, Robert Jr., Joseph, Amanda, Ashley, and the late Thomas Smeals; Great-grandfather of Michael, Sydney, Penelope, Bradley, Alexis, and Luke. 

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Inurnment with Military Honors at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, will be private. Arrangements by Iannotti Funeral Home.
