LOZIER, M. J. LORRAINE (THEROUX) 88, formerly of Gervais Street, Coventry, passed away at the Kent Regency Center in Warwick, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 21, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Henry Lozier Jr. on December 5, 2024. Born in Coventry, RI, she was a daughter of the late Raoul and Marie Eva (Gladu) Theroux.
Lorraine was the loving mother of Andrew H. Lozier and his wife Andrea of Coventry; and the grandmother of twins Sean and Megan Lozier. Lorraine was the sister of Marie Lillian Siembab of Coventry.
Lorraine graduated from Coventry High School, class of 1955. She went on to graduate from the former Sawyer Secretarial School. Lorraine was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Thies Dyeing Company in West Warwick for several years. She also worked in retail at the former Caldors Department Store in Warwick. Most recently she was employed for 20 years at the Coventry Stop & Shop before retiring in 2014. Lorraine, as well as her late husband, were dedicated parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She enjoyed building puzzles as well as reading. Lorraine had a keen interest in U.S. history, and also in the history and collection of memorabilia from the former Rocky Point Amusement Park. Lorraine and Henry liked to walk the grounds of the former amusement park.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday morning, November 28, 2025 from 8:30 am to 10:15 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (95/exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Coventry, RI. Interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich.
