NANCY A. (Arnold) WHITE

WHITE, Nancy A., 93, Of Woodland Dr., Coventry, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Coventry Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the wife of the late Philias J. White.

Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late M. Courtland and Maude (Butterworth) Arnold. 

Nancy was Avon manager for many years and enjoyed spending time with all her cliental.  She loved to travel, especially to New Mexico and she lived in the North end in Boston when she started dating Phil.  She was a long-time member of the Church of the Apostles, the “Skyscrapers” Sea Gravel Memorial Observatory in North Scituate, the Coventry Senior Center and the AARP.

She is survived by her children, Donald E. Carpenter and his wife Donna of East Berry, VT, Christy A. Tierney and her husband Thomas of Millis, MA; her stepchildren, Philip H. White and his wife Jean of Falmouth, MA and Deborah Schreier and her husband Thomas of Fort Myers, FL; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Henry A. Carpenter.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 am in the Church of the Apostles, 170 Fairview Ave., Coventry, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Enfield, CT.  In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s name to BCAN (Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network) 4915 St. Elmo Ave., Suite 202, Bethesda, MD 20814 would be appreciated.
