NANCY ANN (DESSAINT) GRANT

NANCY ANN (DESSAINT) GRANT, 86, of Warwick, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loving family at the Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was the beloved wife of over 60 years to Frederick “Fred” Grant. 

Born in Providence, Nancy was a daughter of the late Albert Sr. and Mazie (Chartrand) Dessaint. 

Nancy found solace being with her family on the water. She enjoyed countless seasons boating with her husband, Fred, making many memories all along the way. Above all, Nancy was a nurturing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose devotion to her family knew no bounds. As the matriarch of her family, Nancy will truly be missed.  

Besides her dear husband, Fred, Nancy is survived by her loving children, Janet Sutton, her husband Brian, of Coventry, and Gary Grant, his wife Karen, of Coventry. Loving grandmother of Michael A. Messier Jr., his wife Beth, of Warwick, Courtney Simpanen, her husband Evan, of Coventry, Jacob Grant of Coventry; great grandmother of Hailey and Michael III. Sister of Albert Dessaint Jr, Donna Grinnell, and the late James “Jimmy” Dessaint. 

Inurnment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Greenwich is respectfully private. Arrangements are by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
