NANCY ELEANOR (CORBETT) GRASSETT

GRASSETT, NANCY E. (CORBETT), 89, of Scituate, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of Gary C. Grassett for 53 years. Born in New Haven, CT, she was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Nan (Petromont) Corbett.

Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an office administrator for her family’s business, New England Lift Truck Corporation in Cranston for 30 years before retiring. Nancy enjoyed caring for her family, cooking and frequenting the nearby casinos.

Nancy was the mother of Joseph F. Pingitore (Lynn) of Warwick, Dante Pingitore (Robyn) of North Kingstown, and Ronald J. Pingitore (Denise) of Cranston. She was the grandmother of Joseph F. Pingitore Jr. (Sandra), Tiana Point (Gary), Katarina Ellerbe (Christian); and the great-grandmother of Charlotte, Andrew Pingitore, Cecilia, Vivianne Point, Ava and Mason Ellerbe. Nancy was the sister of the late Joan Goodwin and Gordon Corbett.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 8:15 am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (I95/Exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston. Interment at St. Ann Cemetery.
