NANCY MARIE SCAVITTI

SCAVITTI, NANCY M. (SAWYER), 77, of Coventry, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Scavitti for 24 years until his passing in 2022. Nancy was also the former wife of the late Russell G. Bache. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Lucille (Picard) Sawyer.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After raising her family, Nancy returned to Academia to pursue a degree in Nursing. She graduated from CCRI, Lincoln Campus in 1984 with an Associate’s Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, an achievement she was always proud of. Nancy was employed at the former Laurel Foster Home in Coventry for many years. She returned to school to acquire an Administrator's license where she went on to employment at the former Pocasset Lodge Assisted Living facility. Nancy later worked as a school nurse at primary colors and the children's center before retiring.

Nancy was the mother of Kerrie A. Crimmins and David R. Bache, both of Coventry. She was the grandmother of Ryan Bertrand, Lindsay Bertrand and her fiance Joey Kingsborough, Andrew Crimmins and David A. Bache. She also leaves her great-granddaughter Brooke Kingsborough. Nancy was the sister of Peggy Parker of Connecticut and the late Leo Sawyer.

Per Nancy’s request, Funeral Services and interment at Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston will be private. Memorial donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated (www.stjude.org). Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.
