NANCY E. (WILLIAMS) TRUEX

TRUEX, NANCY E., 80, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Kent Hospital, Warwick with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late James P. Truex.  

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Irving M. Jr. and Elsie T. (Edwards) Williams.    

Growing up in Warwick, Nancy worked many jobs throughout her career. Nancy retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island where she worked in the Accounts Payable Department and made many longtime friends throughout the years. She loved music and especially loved Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and Football.  

Nancy will be remembered as always being “Everyone’s Mom” and later in her life, “Everyone’s Nana”. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was the loving mother of Joann M. (Truex) Carner of West Warwick, her late husband George Carner and Julie M. (Truex) Baker, her husband Carl Baker, of Warwick. Adoring Nana of Stephanie Donnelly (Matthew), Michael LaPointe, Dylan Carner, and Carl Baker Jr. (Annie). Nancy was the sister of the late Donald Williams and Carol Mackisey. Nancy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and her longtime friends Kathy Baker and Donna Quinn. 

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial is respectfully private.
