NICHOLAS SIMMONS Obituary

SIMMONS, NICHOLAS D., 14, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, surrounded by his
loving family. Born in Providence, he was a son of David and Karen (Lemoi)
Simmons.

Nicholas had a smile that would win awards and would light up anyone’s life with his giggles and
laugh. He was an 8th grade student at Coventry Middle School and a former boy scout
with Troop 1 Coventry. Nicholas enjoyed every minute he got to spend with his family,
classmates, friends and teachers. Nicholas also leaves behind a family of doctors, nurses,
specialists and friends at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence RI. Even though Nick
had many mental and physical disabilities it never stopped him from showing his love for
everyone around him. Nick took every challenge with stride and taught us all to never
give up no matter how difficult the path forward may seem. Nicholas, you will be deeply
missed by us all and all of the lives you have touched, we love you.

Nicholas was the brother of Benjamin Simmons; grandson of Steven and Elaine Simmons,
Wayne and Carolyn Ordway & Edgar Lemoi Jr.; great grandson of Miriam Freeman &
Clare Audette, and nephew to Erin Simmons & Christopher and Jennifer Lemoi.
