NICHOLAS "NICK" ROBERT COTE

Nicholas “Nick” R. Cote, 44, of East Greenwich, RI, a former Head Clerk and Assistant Administrator for the State of Rhode Island District Court in Providence, passed away in Warwick on Sunday, July 28, 2024. 

Born in Providence, RI on March 15, 1980, Nicholas was the beloved son of Denise M. Mailloux of East Greenwich and the late Robert G. Cote.

Nicholas was employed as the Head Clerk and Assistant Administrator for the State of Rhode Island District Court in Providence for years until retiring December, 2022.

Nick loved boating, saltwater fishing and had a love for motorcycles.  He also enjoyed visiting and residing in Florida.  But Nicholas held a special love in his heart, it was an unending love for his daughter, Abigail.  

In addition to his loving mother, Nicholas is survived by his beloved daughter:  Abigail Rose Cote of Newport; his loving sister:  Jill Correia and her husband, Kenny of West Warwick, a brother in law:  Vincent Chantharangsy of Coventry and his children:  Noah & Natalia Chantharangsyy; two nieces: Ella M. Correia and Lola G. Correia;  his former spouse:  Molly Kapstein Cote of Newport, an aunt:  Elaine Jacques of Woonsocket; and his beloved German Shepard, “Francis.”  

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring Nick’s Life on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 10:30 AM in the Maple Root Baptist Church, 150 Harkney Hill Road, Coventry, Rhode Island.  Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted.
