NORMA R. ANDRE

ANDRE, NORMA R.,94, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, on what would have been her and her late husband’s 73rd wedding anniversary. 

She was predeceased in 2009 by her beloved husband of 57 years, Anthony R. Andre. 

Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Alves) Frates.

Norma was a woman of strong will and an even stronger love for others. She loved having company and everyone knew they were welcome in her home. Norma shared her sense of humor and love of life with all who knew her.  One of her favorite things was dancing with her husband.  Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.  She will be remembered as always being kind and accepting of everybody. She truly will be missed. 

Loving mother of Debra Baker (Walter), Brenda Andre, and Claudia Andre, all of Coventry; loving grandmother of Sasha Dugal (Jeff), Shakira Baker and Desiree Martinelli (Frank); great-grandmother of Isaiah Baker, Matthew Davidson, Anthony and Francesca Martinelli, Sofia and Lilliana Dugal, and Naomi Baker. She was the sister of Carolyn Muschiano of East Greenwich, and the late Edmund Frates, Vivian Verhoest, and Lorraine Moore. Norma is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., Coventry with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Ave., West Warwick. Burial, where Norma will be reunited with her husband, to follow at the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Monday 4-7 pm.
