KOOLOIAN, OSCAR BERGE, 65, of Cranston, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 with his family by his side at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of many years to Deborah A. (DeLomba) Kooloian.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Berge and Agnes (Fratus) Kooloian.
Always driven and hardworking, Oscar worked for 28 years as a Deputy Sheriff for the State of Rhode Island. He also worked for The Met High School in Providence as a Bus Driver. Oscar enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time in nature and taking rides to North Conway, New Hampshire on his motorcycle. He was also a lifelong animal lover.
Besides his loving wife Deborah, he leaves behind his two sisters, Annette “Tonie” Kooloian and Margaret Austin and her husband Michael. He was the step father of K.J and Kory Larney, and their children, Lilly, Ruby, and Christopher. Oscar was the uncle of Michael Austin Jr. and Sacha Curtis.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM with a funeral service to begin at 12:30 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry, RI 02816. Burial is respectfully private.
