PAMELA ELIZABETH (COLLINS) THORNTON

THORNTON, PAMELA E., (COLLINS) age 69, of Greene, passed away peacefully at home, with her caring and loving husband of 51 years Robert J. Thornton by her side on Monday, August 4, 2025.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Herve and Mary (Creamer) Collins.

Pamela was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. After raising her two children, Pamela earned a Degree in Nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1994. She went on to a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist at the Women & Infants Hospital Labor and Delivery room, before retiring in 2017. 

Pamela and her husband Robert had the opportunity to travel the Continental United States in a Recreational Vehicle in 2023. They visited many of our National Parks and many other places of interest on this trip of a lifetime. Pamela also liked to golf, kayak, take walks and also read. However, she most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Pamela was the mother of Tina Marie Thornton of Coventry and Joshua R. Thornton of Dade City, Florida. She was the grandmother of Bianca, Ethan, Jacob, Gavin and Bentley. Pamela was the sister of Cindy Martin of Warwick and the late Edward Collins.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (95/exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry.
