FIELDS, PATRICK T., 60, of West Greenwich, passed away peacefully at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of 31 years to Lisa (Antonelli) Fields.
Born in Pawtucket, Pat was the youngest of Marilyn (Savage) Fields and the late Robert Fields Sr.
As a young man, Pat graduated from Our Lady of Providence High School before he was awarded an academic athletic scholarship at Bryant University. With his towering stature, Patrick was the key forward on the Bulldogs Men’s Basketball Team. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Pat started his career as a sales rep for Pitney Bowes eventually opening his own business, Big Dog Mailing Solutions. After ten plus years, Pat sold the company to Quadient Inc., and worked as a solutions architect.
In his free time, Pat loved taking his family on annual trips to Disney, fresh water fishing, and found solace tending to his gardens and yard surrounding his home. He was a lifelong fan of all New England sports teams, but he especially enjoyed rooting for the Boston Bruins. With Lisa and Patrick, he was able to attend the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs and watch the Bruins hoist the Stanley Cup.
Besides his dear wife, Lisa, Pat is survived by his son, Patrick T. Fields Jr. and his fiance Theryn. He was the loving brother of Debra Foley, her husband Patrick, Robert Fields Jr., Mark Fields, and the late David Fields. Pat is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Chiro.
