PAUL FERRICK Obituary

FERRICK, PAUL M., “Papa Paul”, 66, recently of Hudson, FL, and a lifelong resident of West Warwick, RI, passed peacefully to the heavens above on August 5, 2025 at home. He was the proud father of Jennifer Ferrick Panneton (Ryan Panneton) of West Warwick, his self-proclaimed “greatest accomplishment” and Main Rockstar Angels.

Born in Augsburg, Germany, he was the son of the late Gerald Ferrick, and Alice (O’Shea) Ferrick of Barrington, RI; his brother Mark Ferrick and wife Suzanne (Ferry) Ferrick of Seekonk, MA, In addition to his daughter, he leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Haley, Shane, Aaron, Kaylie-Lyn and RJ, and all of their dogs that drove him nuts every time he came up to visit. He was elated to be able to have such a large family to love.

Paul is survived by many nieces and nephews, loving friends who he always considered family, as well as his more recent favorite people, dubbed as his “Rockstar Angels”. He truly adored and valued the special friendships he made when he moved to Florida. He enjoyed and frequented many of the local establishments, making friends along the way. He was an avid fan and supporter of local live music, and "mom and pop" places.

Paul, a disabled Marine Veteran (OOHRAH) was often seen wearing a Marine Veteran hat. He was honored to have served our Country. He was notably a Certified CPR instructor for many years at the Red Cross, obtaining and maintaining his Cardiac license. He spent many years volunteering at various Departments such as Charlestown Rescue and Lake Mishnock Fire Department, as well as LifeStar. He retired from the United States Postal Service (West Warwick) as a letter carrier and custodian. During his tenure at the Post Office, he beat Cancer not once but twice and was considered the miracle man by all who knew him. He moved to Florida shortly after retiring. Despite the lifelong adversity that he experienced, he always went out of his way to put a smile on everyone’s face, no matter what he was going through.

We would be remiss if we did not take this opportunity to share some of Paul’s infamous words of wisdom: Do good with what you have and you will never be without; If you have the opportunity to give, do it; If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got; If you point a finger, you have four pointing back at you; and most importantly, always be kind.

Paul’s visiting hours will be on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home at 415 Washington Street, (Rte.117) Coventry, RI 02816 (Original location). A Celebration Of Life with Military Honors will be held at 11:30 am immediately after Paul’s visiting hours at Iannotti's. Burial will respectfully be private.
