JOUBERT, PETER K., of Coventry, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on the morning of Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was the loving husband of Sandra (Tougas) Joubert.
Born in Warwick, RI, he was a son of the late Leo and Pearl (King) Joubert.
Peter studied Political Science and English at the University of Rhode Island. He was the President and Owner of ABC Seamless Gutters Inc., Coventry for over 30 years. Peter was a lifelong musician, playing piano and keyboards with many local bands, including Toast, Violan Road and Mother Bogart. In his youth, Peter was the organist at Saints John and Paul Church in Coventry.
Peter is survived by his children Jason Benda-Joubert and his wife Melanie, Sean Joubert and his former wife Kate, and Mathew Joubert and his wife Jennifer; step son Matthew Houle and his wife Leighann. Loving grandfather to Lily, Jameson, Isla, Genevieve, Greysen, Lincoln, Avalyn, and Rosalie. Brother of Steven Joubert, his wife Mitzy, and Jan Rathbun her husband Roger Peppin. As a dog lover, Peter also considered his dogs Stella, Blue and Mrs. Peel to be members of his family.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:00 PM, in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry, RI. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry will be private.
Memorial Contributions made in Peter’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation (parkinson.org) would be appreciated.
