PHILIP R. “Phil” PARE, 84, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the loving husband of 65 years to Elaine (Marques) Pare.
Born in Coventry, Phil was a son of the late George H. and Alexandra (Marcoullier) Pare.
Phil began his career working with his brother, Gerard Pare, before working for General Dynamics Electric Boat. In 1972, he decided to incorporate “Phil Pare and Sons General Contracting”, where he worked until his passing.
In his leisure time, Phil liked to take camping trips with his young family, cruise vacations with his wife, Elaine, and later in his life, attend NASCAR races, and was a long time fan of Tony Stewart. Phil also enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends. Always having a passion for his work, Phil found solace operating his backhoe and completing a job well done. He will be remembered for his generosity, honesty, and his dedication to both his craft and his family.
Aside from his beloved wife Elaine, Phil is survived by his children, Michael Pare and his wife Veronica, Karen Pare-Bressner, her husband Gorm, and Kimberly McDonough and her husband Mark. Grandfather of Michael Jr., Chad, Jared, Nathaniel, Jacob, Keith Barry, Grete, Grace, and Emily. Great grandfather of Ace and Grayson. He was the dear brother of Rita Dixon, and the late Lionel, Gerard, Normand, Arthur, Edward Pare, Irene Lafond, Jeannette Motta, Loretta Pimental, and Alfred Pare.
Phil’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1 Sunset Ave., West Warwick. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick and is respectfully private.
