PHYLLIS MARSHALL Obituary

MARSHALL, PHYLLIS A., 82, of Bristol, Passed away peacefully at the Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She was the beloved wife of 33 years to William A. Marshall.

 

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Gildo and Rita (Raymond) Colardo.

 

A natural born caregiver, Phyllis spent her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Cranston General Hospital, where she worked for many years. She had a natural culinary talent and could create a festival of flavor, even with few ingredients. Phyllis also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and watching “Survivor” and “Paradise Island” on television.  She was a lifelong animal lover and will be missed dearly by her beloved feline companion, “Ebony”.

 

Phyllis was the loving mother of Lori Oakley of West Warwick, Charlene Fochler of Warwick, Belynda Sousa of Bristol, and the late Richard Oakley and Jennifer Oakley. Adoring grandmother of Ashley and Nicole Fochler, Lauryn Sousa, and the late Thomas Oakley; great grandmother of Mina Wettengel and Thomas Oakley; great great grandmother of Marylex and Kjell. Phyllis was the sister of the late Lynette Pokkracka. 

 

Family and friends are invited to Committal Prayers on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Arrangements are by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
