WILSON, PRESCOTT S. “Scott”, 65, of Coventry, passed away peacefully after a long battle with leukemia, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He was the loving husband of 40 years to Kathleen M. (Afonso) Wilson.
Besides his beloved wife Kathy, Scott is survived by his loving son Justin Wilson, his wife Alicia, of Sunnyvale, California and cherished daughter Kate Beck, her husband Mitchell, of Warwick, Rhode Island. He was the adoring grandfather of Damon Beck. Scott was the brother of Ginger Mathews, James Durda, Sandra Durda, Bruce Durda, and the late Robert Durda and Henry Wilson along with his many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was a son of the late Henry and Rebecca (Carrier) Wilson.
Growing up in Pawtucket, Scott was a proud graduate of St. Raphael Academy. He then went on to further his education at Rhode Island College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. A natural born entrepreneur and people person, Scott spent the bulk of his career as a salesman. In his earlier days he worked at Ann & Hope in Seekonk, MA where he created a family of friends that have endured the test of time.
In 1984, Scott and Kathy moved to Coventry, where they raised their family and forged many more lifelong friendships. In his spare time, Scott enjoyed coaching soccer and softball for many years. Always appreciating nature and time outdoors, Scott especially enjoyed tending to his gardens and maintaining a meticulous lawn.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (ROUTE 3), Coventry. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial is respectfully private.
