RAMONA J. DUMAS

DUMAS, RAMONA J., 67, of Maple Root Rd., Coventry, passed away at Kent Hospital on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was the mother of Jennifer M. Ellis of Cranston. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of Raymond H. Dumas of Florida, and the late Elaine (Hemmingway) Dumas, and the step-daughter of the late Theodosia “Teddy” (Carson) Dumas who raised Ramona from the age of five, after Elaine had passed.

Ramona graduated from Coventry High School, class of 1977. She went on to employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant working at several nursing homes including the West View Facility in West Warwick. Ramona was a loving and dedicated mother, daughter, and sister. She was loved by everyone and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Ramona was the sister of Deborah McCoy, Roxann Phillips, Elaina Cooke, Brenda Etchells, Kristen Flint, Raymond Dumas Jr., Ronald Dumas, Harold Fletcher, Leo Allen, and the late Robert Dumas and Dwight Dumas. Ramona is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews.

At the family’s request, Funeral Services and interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Coventry will be private. Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry. iannottifh.com
